Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities: Assistant Scaffolder
  • Assists the qualified scaffolder to lead a team to achieve desired outcomes while communicating and gathering information along the way.
  • Can manage paperwork and risk assessments.
  • Assists the qualified scaffolder to design a scaffold to meet end user requirements in accordance with the Best Practice Guidelines and Company Policy.
    • Takes responsibility for safe work practices of team members.
    • Takes responsibility for ensuring all team members take part and understand risk assessment completed before every job or if new risks are identified during a job.
  • Has excellent communication skills with the customer; team members
and employers and regularly keeps the Upright Scaffolding office informed of events throughout the day including gear lists and job completion times.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Can manage time pressured jobs.
  • Can motivate team members
  • Willing to train team members and pass on knowledge.
  • Willing to learn and progress as a person.
  • Can work overtime from time to time to ensure job completion and meet customer requirements.
  • Can manage personal equipment and ensure critical PPE is well maintained (harness and Lanyard etc.).
  • Manages own expiry dates on qualifications and PPE and undertakes training/ checks to keep up to date.
  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
