Department Overview

Stewarding ensures the smooth running of the back of the house operation and proper maintenance of all operating equipment and dish washing machines and maintenance of kitchen and back of house hygiene and cleanliness to statutory requirements. This department works in conjunction with all F & B and Kitchen related operating departments and is a key to ensuring the smooth running of day to day operations that ensure high standards of guest service.
Job Profile

  • Be fully aware of all hygiene, health and safety procedures in accordance to the set up hotel standards.
  • Reports any defect or damage immediately to the chief steward or supervisor.
  • Regularly cleans copper, silver and stainless steel
  • Contribute effectively to team work
  • Respects all HACCP standards with regards to personal hygiene and grooming
  • Participate in communication meetings
  • Is responsible for cleaning and keeping tidy all back of house areas in the different outlets.
  • Keeps team restaurant clean and tidy.
  • Takes care that all outlets and corridors are always cleared away and tidy.
  • Keeps storerooms clean and tidy.
  • Cleans and disinfects garbage areas at all times.
