If you live in the Rolleston, Lincoln or Redwood areas and would like to support clients in their homes and communities, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for. We have positions available for female support workers, preferably aged 20 to 50 years, to work as part of our motivated and dedicated teams supporting our clients with daily activities that will enable them to live as independently as possible.
On offer are full, part time and casual relief positions with a variety of shifts to choose from. The shifts are rostered across a 24/7 week so the flexibility to work one weekend on and one off as well as nights for dinner preparation and wake overs from 11pm to 7am is desirable.
These positions would suit positive, caring and reliable people who have the commitment to assist our clients towards their rehabilitation goals. A reasonable level of physical fitness is required as you will be dealing with tetraplegia clients. Typical responsibilities include:
• household management including meal preparation and baking, cleaning, laundry, light gardening
• personal support including bowel cares, showering, dressing, grooming
• assisting our clients to get out and about in the local community
Requirements:
• a current full driver's licence and own car is essential
• be self-motivated and able to work independently
• must have good cooking skills
• be very reliable and trustworthy
• good communication skills and fluency in English
• be eligible to work in New Zealand
