This is a hands on role reporting to the Operations Manager

You will be / have

  • experience within the steel industry

  • fabrication and welding skills

  • ability to read drawings, produce work details, and communicate clear instructions

  • leadership and organizational abilities

  • accountable when things go pear-shape

  • able to work under pressure

  • be proactive in Client and Supplier communication

  • think outside the square

  • a good sense of humor and willingness to speak up and be challenged

Most of all you will thrive in an ever changing and demanding engineering environment. You'll put your industry skills to use when required, and lead by example. Key duties include – Staff management, timekeeping, allocating tasks aligned to meet due dates - Ordering material, sub contractor and supplier contact.
Driving the current Job sheet and maintaining an efficient and timely workshop operation.
