Pastoral Care Coordinator

We have an exciting 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Pastoral Care Coordinator at our Pacific Plant.

The Pastoral Care Coordinator role is to support the plant with pastoral care services aligned with the recruitment of suitable work ready people, ensuring all employees are effectively inducted and trained to the required standards and can work safely, upholding the company standards and values. 
The Pastoral Care Coordinator will play an active role in assisting staff with issues that maybe preventing them from attending work consistently, potentially involving outside support agencies to support this outcome.  The Pastoral Care Coordinator will also develop and implement a programme aimed at building a strong work ethic with new employees, monitor the employees progress and review procedures to continuously improve employees' effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A history of community participation and well developed networks which provides pathways to potential employees and support for new employees
  • The ability to influence and engage with people, ensuring absences from the workplace are significantly reduced
  • Experience in recruiting and integrating large numbers of processing staff Problem solving, negotiation and high level communication skills.
  • Computer literacy - proficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Data bases and systems.
  • Demonstrates excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of ability to manage time and prioritise key tasks.
  • Accurate and efficient record keep processes
