THE ROLE:

Select is proud to partner with NZCU South in their pursuit of a target-driven and dynamic individual to fill a full-time, permanent position as an NZCU Credit Manager within the Member Services Team. This position will see the successful applicant take on responsibility for the on-going development and management of the credit process including the capability to deliver appropriate and timely customer solutions, whilst protecting the business from adverse risk and credit decisions. You will be working to manage the lending approval process up to an including settlement of loans and collections. You will also be required to build and maintain a number of functional relationships within the business and ensure procedure is followed for recovery activities for loans, personal business and mortgages. This role demands a high level of adaptability and the flexibility to think proactively across a number of in-house systems. You will ensure best practice is adhered to with regards to the management of credit risk and application of processes surrounding loan origination activity. An awareness of Loan Origination systems and the ability to meet set KPIs and service deliverable are key to success in this role.

Job Requirements:

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Previously experience in the different facets of staff management from recruitment through to performance management, training and conflict resolution;
  • Proven high level of communication and influencing skills, both written and oral;
  • Effective at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Define team KPIs for individual staff members and follow up on execution of the defined margins, whilst upholding and monitoring self-performance to a high standard;
  • Develop and implement strategy geared toward operational rhythm to meet pre-set organisational performance plans and associated budgets and deadlines;
  • Manage a portfolio, third party debt collection and the Loan Origination System
  • Experienced in decision making and problem solving, resulting in effective outcomes
  • Commitment to adhering to relevant legislation and process/ timeframes with a strong knowledge of all consumer credit legislations (CCCFA, Privacy and Regulatory Reqs.);
  • Results driven with an excellent understanding of lending within the consumer finance sector as well as an ability to work well under pressure in an autonomous manner.
