The Company

This is a reputable Aged Care company operating over 40+ facilities across the country, they are in a period of growth, particulary in NSW at the moment, creating a bigger presence due to the acquisition of a small group of Aged Care facilities.

They are looking for a manager who can grow and develop both the facility and the staff team. The nursing home is medium in size with a focus on increasing occupancy at the moment. They believe in providing high standards of care and strive to look after their employees, creating a caring culture across the company.

What you will be doing?

  • Providing high standards of care for all residents and clients, adhering to compliance within the Aged Care act.
  • Developing and maintaining Care Plans in accordance with policy and legislative requirements
  • Promote and encourage continuous improvement in accordance with outcomes requires by the Accreditation standards Agency to achieve continued accreditation for the service.
  • Maintain high staff morale, encourage and promote staff and volunteer education, ongoing training and development, including performance management.
  • Develop new program initiatives to expands companies ability to meet key objectives.
  • Take responsibility for managing a budget and future planning
  • Ensure regular, timely and accurate reports are made to Regional Manager on all matters of operations.

What you will need?

  • You will need to be an AHPRA registered Nurse with a solid clinical background
  • Ideally you will have have at least 2 years experienced as a Facility Manager in an Aged Care Facility
  • You will have highly developed management skills and proven ability to effectively deal with competing demands and priorities will be important
  • Experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams
