Site Manager required by an Auckland based family owned Construction Company, known in the industry for undertaking a broad range of commercial and multi-build residential projects & due to increased growth, are seeking an ambitious Site Manager with a passion for the building industry, working on a new and exciting project based in Auckland and also helping manage their expanding workload. Your new role:
This is a Hands-On Site Manager role where you will be responsible for the overall management of a specific construction project.  Your key focus will be to ensure that the work produced meets the highest quality standards and that the project comes in within deadline / budget.  You will be working closely with the Project Manager, Engineers and Contractors, overseeing health & safety requirements / compliance, Quality of third party workmanship and directly managing subcontractors.
As a Site Manager, your duties will include:
  • Day to day Site Management
  • Ensuring adherence to project specifications, costs and time.
  • Management of Foreman/Leading hands
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Preparing site reports
  • Management of Health and Safety standards
You will have
  • A strong understanding of NZ building codes, NZS 3910 and standards
  • The ability to drive quality and meet deadlines
  • Liaise with and work effectively with third party suppliers
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • A passion for Health and Safety and ensuring a safe site at all times
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team, manage performance and all onsite requirements
  • Motivated and proud of the jobs you deliver
  • Good Computer Skills
  • Quality Management for Subtrades
  • Able to push management to adherence of programmes
  • Preparing budgets for Construction Manager and site PM’s
  • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
