Job Description:

SITE MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL
 
A dynamic & well led structured company that successfully delivers, are on the lookout for an experienced Site Manager to contribute to the Company’s goal of making a significant impact on the cost, constructability and durability of NZ homes through well researched innovation. An innovative and well established locally owned homebuilding company with a wealth of experience.
 
Key responsibility areas:
  • Construction of housing following systems and processes developed within the company to reduce the time and cost of building
  • Working closely with contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and design staff to ensure efficient building constructability
  • Management of the construction programme, project delivery, and client follow up
  • Overall Site responsibility
  • Sub-contractor management and materials ordering
  • Directing and mentoring site staff, with a solid leadership ability
  • Strong organisational, process-driven and time management skills
  • Procurement, in conjunction with company operations
  • Monitoring of budgets and schedules to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Maintenance of client satisfaction in order to ensure the highest quality of work is produced
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on program and budget with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Health & Safety – overseeing HSSE on site; demonstrating a commitment to a safety culture; adhering to policies, systems and record keeping
  • Undertake other tasks as required from time to time
 
Key skills & competencies required for the role:
  • Trade Certification essential, if it’s in Carpentry / Joinery that would be advantageous
  • LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) Accreditation is also a bonus
  • At least 10 years hands on building industry experience
  • In depth NZ Construction experience in either Commercial or Residential Construction
  • Previous experience managing staff on construction sites
  • Able to use on-line project management tools a great advantage
  • Comprehensive understanding of residential building codes
  • Understanding and openness to Lean building thinking
  • An interest in BIM and its potential to improve site performance
  • Able to follows direction/contributes to discussions
  • Desire for industry change
 
Other requirements would include:
  • Effective communicator with a good understanding of English
  • Able to work autonomously
  • A team player
  • Technology savvy
  • Hard working & Process driven
  • Organised & Punctual
  • Clean Full NZ Drivers licence
  • NZ residency

Job details:
  • Type - Full time permanent position
  • Salary - $95k-$115k/pa neg with skills, experience & qualifications
  • The remuneration package will be highly competitive depending on the individual's experience and skillset.
  • Location - North Shore, Auckland
