Job Description:

Are you an experienced CNC Operator looking to join an innovative and solution focused business?

Our client, Form (a division of PDC) specialise in the high quality design and manufacture of low and medium voltage electrical distribution and high end lighting solutions.

Form are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their Christchurch team of engineers to assist in the production of a variety solutions for the commercial and industrial markets.

If successful in your application you will be fortunate enough to be joining a new and innovative business division where your day to day responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Machine operation
  • Providing the full range of Mig & Tig welding services including all required preparation and finishing work 
  • Performing a range of process work associated with the manufacture of sheet metal, die cast and/or precision engineered products
  • Operating presses, drill presses, grinders, and other similar equipment as required to produce quality sheet metal and related products to a specified drawing
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met and hazards appropriately managed.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Continually looking for ways to improve how the business operates and participating in quality improvement initiatives as required

  • Excellent communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Office and relevant software packages

  • Target driven – with the ability to work to, and set, timely performance goals/targets and clear objectives
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A strategic thinker who is a confident and competent decision maker
  • Competent reporting and analysis skills
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with sensitive commercial or personal information

This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday based in central Christchurch. Form offers the right candidate a competitive salary in a stable and secure employment environment with opportunity to progress.
