INTERNAL SALES - Technical Products

  • Technically astute Internal Sales / Account Manager

Our client is committed to providing the highest quality and innovative machines and tools for air cargo, general transportation, materials handling and pipe tools industries, including plumbing/ drainage and water solutions sector.  

With almost 50 years’ experience, and ultising superior design and advanced engineering capabilities, their products today are hard at work on land, in the air, and on the sea, serving all phases of the material handling industry.
They are renowned for understanding their client’s needs and finding the most appropriate solution, with the most efficient and technically competent service possible.

Due to company growth, they are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual to join their Auckland based Internal Sales team.

This is a pivotal position where you will be responsible for building lasting relationships with the company’s clients, many of whom you will deal with on a regular basis. Duties will involve answering inbound sales enquiries, giving technical advice, product information, finding solutions to problems, preparing quotations, processing orders, and other support duties.  

You will enjoy problem solving and providing an informative service where by you meet customer’s enquiries, resolve their issues, prepare quotations, process orders and provide support to field based sales reps.

We are seeking someone who is technically minded, with very strong communication skills. There is a lot to learn, so we are seeking someone who can quickly immerse yourself in technical product range, who has a questioning mind, who is dedicated and interested in learning and upskilling. You will be focused on building lasting relationship with the company's clients; always delivering first class customer service. A consultative sales approach is very necessary with the ability to offer the right solutions to meet individual client’s needs

  • Ability to learn new product range quickly
  • Ability to problem solve and provide effective solutions
  • Very strong communication. Able to consult with your customer to determine their needs.
  • Strong technical ability. Able to understand and relate technical products and solutions
  • Enthusiasm to maintain and increase your own product knowledge and capabilities
  •  Motivation and drive. High energy, team player!
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to invest time and energy to get results.
  • Confident computing skills and use of CRM
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, good follow up skills
  • A TEAM PLAYER and Sense of Humour is a must

You will thrive on a busy environment, be highly organized, self-motivated and enjoy working with a very supportive, friendly team.  You will get very thorough training, possibly an overseas production training and induction.

 Experience from within the piping, plumbing or drainage area, or engineering related products would be highly advantageous, but not essential. What is most important is your attitude and your ability to learn.
