Job Description:

  • Assistance in the creation of the menu and estimating costs.
  • Food preparation including but not restricted to: chopping, peeling, mixing, baking.
  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
  • Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
  • Monitoring and enforcing sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen utensils, including tools, containers, clothes, towels and food storage areas.
  • Serves the food.
  • Stores leftovers appropriately.
  • Makes a list of dishes, cutlery, condiments, etc. required for the meal as a guide for table setting
  • Select and train staff.
  • Communicates effectively with other kitchen staff.

Job Requirements:

Degree level (desirable) or, Formal qualifications in International Cookery
Knowledge about South American food.
