Business Development Manager - Construction & Infrastructure market

Our clients are leading suppliers to the Civil, Infrastructure and Construction industries of New Zealand, providing, Site Safety Equipment, Plant Machinery, Road and Traffic Signage, Construction consumables, and temporary Fencing Solutions. There 20+year success has been due to their provision of a multi-platform of supply solutions  and first rate customer service, resulting in increased demand and repeat business.

We are looking for someone who is at the stage of their career where they REALLY WANT to get stuck in and make their mark.

Our client is looking to appoint a very motivated, hardworking and ambitious BDM, who works very hard and in return wants to be rewarded.

This opportunity is on offer for someone who will go into this role full steam ahead and make some serious inroads. They will be at the top of their game, a true sale 'gun' with a " leave no stone unturned" approach and will get out there and make it happen.

The Role:

  • Bring on new construction, infrastructure and civil industry clients by on-site prospecting visits
  • Manage large project roles and some Key Accounts
  • Be abreast of all upcoming opportunities, projects and internal developments
  • Understand target market and their challenges to support overall sales objectives.
  • Look for opportunities outside the square.
  • Develop unique customer sales initiatives.

You:

  • You are more a Hunter than Farmer
  • You will be an Overachiever, Hardworking and Motivated
  • You will be ready to sink your teeth into this opportunity and work hard to achieve both your own and the company's goals.
  • Ability to build sales relationships and influence decision-makers
  • High activity and a direct approach to the decision makers. (We are not interested in those that waste time befriending every builder on site).
  •  Ability to pitch a value proposition that supports your client's specific needs
  • Someone who has sold into the Construction, infrastructure or Civil space would be ideal. 
  • Someone who constantly overachieves sales targets
  • Ability to work independently in effectively managing your territory as if it were your own business.

Our client is keen on attracting top talent for this role so area offering a first-rate Remuneration package. A base salary of $75K up to $100K ( depending on experience) 4x4dual cab ute and commission component. (OTE $120K - $140K uncapped)
