Our client is a New Zealand leader in the supply of a very wide range of raw materials and ingredients to supply a very wide range of markets across New Zealand. Whether it is preservatives for the food manufacturing industry, specialty chemicals, solvents, acids or polymers for the plastics industry, they have a huge product range which is sourced from all over the world.

On their behalf, we are seeking the services of dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join their Mt Wellington based team. This is a very busy, multifaceted position, which involves very strong Administration/ Coordination skills…where you will need to be incredibly organized and have great attention to detail.

 It has components of LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATION, SHIPPING, PURCHASING, IMPORTS & CUSTOMER SERVICES, and will definitely keep you challenged and interested and your brain ticking over.

We are looking for a very process oriented administrator who will fulfil the entire process of placing an order with a supplier, which could be a local or overseas supplier. You will follow the process of shipping the product back to NZ, keeping your clients informed, throughout the whole process. This will involve you liaising with the overseas suppliers, shipping and customers brokers, 3PL Warehousing, as well as clients directly.

You will need to keep abreast of all of your orders, know where they are, and at which stage. By using their customized workflow system to assist the coordination of these processes, you will be able to track and progress several of these orders at any given time.

You will utilize your very strong organization and coordination skills, with effective communication with both suppliers & clients alike. You will be process driven, with very good follow up skills and the ability to prepare and make sure the appropriate documentation is processed accurately. A strong numerical ability is also essential.

The ideal back ground would be someone who had some purchasing, shipping, accounts and customer service experience…..but a very good administrative support person with experience in some of these areas would be able to learn the rest.

 You will need well developed computer skills, with confidence in picking up a new ERP system with ease.
