Assistant Store Manager Sales and Service - Kilbirnie

Our Kilbirnie store is seeking an experienced retailer to support the Store Manager in driving a superior customer experience. Your direct report is the sales manager, and you will be working with her to coach and drive the sales team of 25+ team members. The role is very hands on, with the majority of the time being spent out on the sales floor, observing, supporting, and providing in the moment feedback. The beauty of a small store is that you become a jack of all trades, and develop a deeper understanding of the business across all areas.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A strong focus on providing and driving exceptional customer service
  • The ability to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in managing teams of 15+ in a large format retail environment, or in a multi-site management role
  • Experience in motivating sales managers within a challenging and fast paced work environment
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching for improved performance
  • Knowledge of core retail tasks such as VM, stock integrity, LP, sales training, rostering and wage forecasting

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous supervisor/team leader experience in a retail environment
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
  • A passion for excellence in customer service and sales

The position is for 80 hours per fortnight and involves working some late nights and weekends as per the management roster.
