Marketing Assistant

Our client is one of Wellington’s leading visitor attractions and a unique and exciting place to work. They are looking for a Part-Time Marketing Assistant to work through until the end of June 2019.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager this brand new role will be responsible for supporting the Manager and the Adviser in day to day Marketing activities. The team are friendly, informal and easy to get along with and really need someone that is going to roll their sleeves up and just get on with the job at hand.

Our Client's Advertising Agency will come up with creative concepts and media plans and our ideal candidate will then be able to take that and implement it. You should be able to demonstrate experience with such tasks as;

  • Managing creative and media feedback to agencies
  • Organising resizing adaptations of artwork and printing
  • Updating copy on web pages
  • Ad hoc campaign/administration work to support the team.

 The ideal candidate will have;

  • 2 years’ experience either in an ad agency as an account executive, or as a marketing assistant dealing with agencies
  • Planned, created and implemented marketing plans and advertising campaigns
  • Experience with digital and  print media
  • Worked with Website providers
  • Good writing skills
  • Exposure to a  Content Management System (CMS)
  • Hold a relevant degree (nice to have)

 We are looking for a happy,  positive and outgoing person that can really hit the ground running. To be successful you must be action orientated, intuitive and a proactive problem solver with great communication skills.

It is anticipated that this will be a 25 - 30 hours per week role over 5 working days, but could be subject to change.
