A fantastic opportunity to be involved in one of Queenstown's busiest venues

Pier Restaurant & Bar - situated on the picturesque Steamer Wharf in central Queenstown, we are looking for a charismatic, energetic and experienced Head Chef to run our busy kitchen operations.

This will be a hands-on role within the bustling environment of the kitchen and will require a chef that can handle the pressure of a busy service without compromising on quality.  You will need to be passionate about food and have the creative flair to help us achieve not only customer satisfaction but also our financial targets.

 

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities
  • strong food presentation
  • stock control and ordering 
  • managing food and wage costs
  • compliance of food control plan (FCP)
  • recruitment and rostering of all kitchen staff
  • equipment maintenance
  • ensure strong relationship with management
Skills & Experience
  • minimum three years head chef experience
  • able to work flexible hours
  • a cool head for those busy periods
  • team leadership
  • menu development
  • good communication
