Internal Sales | Customer Service

My client, a well-established company based in Mangere (near the Airport), has been providing high quality and innovative machines and tools into the air cargo, general transportation, materials handling and pipe tools industry for over 50 years.

Due to exciting growth, they are currently looking for an Internal Sales Rep to join their  internal sales team.

This person would be responsible for building lasting relationships with the company’s clients, many of whom you will deal with on a regular basis.

Duties will involve;

  • Answering inbound sales enquiries
  • Giving technical advice
  • Providing sound product information
  • Finding technical solutions to problems that your clients may be faced with
  • Preparing quotations
  • Processing orders
  • Other support duties

This role will suit someone who has either a sound knowledge of plumbing (whether that be in a Customer Service or Sales capacity) or has previously worked in an Internal Sales environment. 

The ideal candidate could be someone from a plumbing / hardware retail background, who is looking for the next step in their Sales Career.

To be successful in this role, you will need;

  • Ability to learn new product range quickly
  • Ability to problem solve and provide effective solutions
  • Very strong communication. Able to consult with your customer to determine their needs.
  • Strong technical ability. Able to understand and relate technical products and solutions
  • Enthusiasm to maintain and increase your own product knowledge and capabilities
  • Motivation and drive. High energy, team player!
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to invest time and energy to get results.
  • Confident computing skills and use of CRM
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, good follow up skills
  • A TEAM PLAYER and Sense of Humour is a must

This is a busy role and you will need to be highly organized and able to multitask.  You will be working with a very supportive and friendly team, but the ability to self-motivate is crucial.
