About the Role

You will enjoy a 9 day fortnight in this fulltime Permanent position, you will work a scheduled roster between two sites and you will have the opportunity to provide a diverse set of assessments, therapies and proactive consultations in a well-equipped clinical setting.

Services include: assessment and treatment of speech and articulation disorders, phonology and phonemic awareness, receptive and expressive language, voice, speech fluency and motor speech disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, oral and written literacy skills, hearing impairment and auditory processing. Our Client services clients of all ages with a special focus on paediatrics and Autism Spectrum Disorders you will however have access to a small caseload of Adult patients.

About the Team

Our Client ensures that their clinicians have close working relationships with audiologists, school professionals, occupational therapists, parents, psychologists and more as part of an integrated care team.

You will have the opportunity to work within a team of locally and internationally trained Allied health professionals, engaging in monthly meetings and quarterly team building events, our client also offers a very generous professional development allowance.

About You

The successful applicant will be a motivated, enthusiastic and responsible person with good organisation skills to ensure a consistent and quality service is provided to all clients. You will have excellent communications skills, a high level of efficiency in the processing of reports and a commitment to professional development activities including meetings and external professional development events.

Selection Criteria

  • Knowledge and experience of working with adults and children with ASD
  • Speech Pathologist degree qualification
  • Registration with SPAA
  • Have a current Working With Vulnerable Persons check
  • The ability to work independently and effectively with children / families / teachers / other health professionals
  • Commitment and motivation towards Continuing Professional Development
  • The ability to communicate effectively as part of a team
  • High level of time management and organisational skills
