About the company:

My client is a leading international Transport and Logistics organisation, with an extensive global network.

About the role:

As the Warehouse Manager with a "hands on approach" you are responsible for building and maintaining the cold supply chain for the strategic relationships of the business, both internally with your team and externally with your clients.

You will be provided with all the tools of the trade you will need to succeed. You will be supported by the senior management team, who will work to ensure support and direction through the speed bumps that will arise from time to time.

 
  • You must have 3rd Party "Perishable Warehouse Management /Freight Forwarding Experience" to be considered for this role
  • The role is based at Airport Oaks, Auckland.
  • Must be a resident of New Zealand and live in the Auckland Region

Key Tasks:
 
  • Managing a Perishable / Freight Forwarding warehouse/s
  • Staff management
  • Client retention and development
  • Profit and loss management experience
  • Health and Safety maintenance
  • Develop and execute the Operational Strategy to meet and exceed budget in line with the company vision and strategic initiatives
  • Lead and develop staff to provide a premium service to its customers
  • Build and maintain key business relationships
  • Ensure compliance of Health and Safety polices and all legal requirements are being maintained

To be successful you will need:
 
  • Minimum of 3yrs "Perishable" Warehouse Cold Supply chain in Operations experience
  • The ability to engage with stakeholders and implement strategy
  • Strong numeracy skills: the ability to analyse, forecast, budget and evaluate variances and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ability to influence and motivate others to achieve the business vision
  • Strong negotiation and relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Resilience and determination
  • Organisational and delegation skills
  • Proven track record of successful profit centre management and business development

Remuneration:
 
  • Salary of up to $$$uncapped$$$ Based on experience + Bonus + Tools of trade
