Job Description:

This is a true generalist role where you will be assisting with recruitment, health and safety, performance issues, advising managers and assisting with projects when required. The successful candidate will be proactive, resilient and adaptable to change. You will also have excellent communication skills and will be able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

To be considered for this role, you will have the following attributes:

- A sound understanding of the fundamentals of NZ employment law and HR practice.
- Familiarity with a payroll system reporting, ideally using CHRIS21.
- HR and/or payroll experience, ideally in a public sector environment.
- Well-developed arithmetic skills and ability to analyse information using Excel spreadsheets.
- Well-developed English writing and document manipulation skills.
