BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Our client is a large well known organisation with a strong reputation as a leader of their industry in fire protection. They have been leading this industry for over 100 years in New Zealand. They are a large company, operating from fourteen sites and have hundreds of technicians.

On their behalf, we are seeking a confident new business hunter that is confident in developing new business, preferably from the Fire Protection industry or another industry where you will be working with Commercial building owners/ Landlords. (Commercial Property insurance brokers, Business Brokers, Facilities, etc).

The position will have you talking Commercial Building Owners and Property & Facilities Management companies to secure opportunities to quote on servicing their fire system / testing and BWOF compliance requirements.

Fire Safety is a big concern these days and building need to be compliant to strict fire regulations, which means that every commercial premises needs this service. You will have an unlimited customer prospect list – from Hotels to office blocks to manufacturing organisations

They all need to invest in fire protection services… and who better to do this with but a company who has a service offering that is the best in industry.

New business can be prospected from within the company’s client base (which is extensive) or from brand new business. There will be leads supplied but you must be confident in your own lead generation and prospecting abilities.

About you!

  • Preference will go to those who Fire industry experience or come from a comparable industry, or those who are networked with Building Landlords/ Owners / Operators
  • We have a technical and service-based product set, so ability to understand and convey technical services is important.
  • You must be a New Business Hunter First and foremost!
  • You need to investigate your target market and network in the right space.
  •  Enjoy networking with those in the Commercial property market
  • Have high energy! Be motivated and driven!
  • You will need to be confident in cold calling, prospecting and managing a pipeline
  • You will want to earn a high income and will put in the sales activity needed to achieve it.
  • Able to manage the wider Christchurch territory
