Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has just become available for one of our clients in Wanaka. It certainly isn't your average Senior level role! This position is better described as a Client Manager role, full of responsibility! Our client is wanting the right person and has a budget of up to $90 000 in order to secure them.

The company itself are a smaller sized firm who are increasingly becoming more well renowned in the marketplace. A major reason for this is from the period of growth they are going through and the multiple offices they currently have open across the South Island of New Zealand. There are also long term plans to expand on the North Island too. There really is no better time to be joining the company. There are plenty of social events coming up in the next couple of months being mid year events, which will help you fit in with ease, having opportunities to meet all of the team both inside and outside the office. The role is a dynamic one, which will suit someone passionate and motivated about what the organisation does. You will get to work closely with Directors at the firm, with the role largely being value add work. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to lead special project work, help clients with their various queries, provide Xero support and review the work of Juniors/Intermediates. There still will be an element of compliance work as part of your job, but this will be limited to more senior duties including forecasts and budgets. As you could imagine, there is a lot of client contact in this role too, so it is vital that you are willing to establish and build relationships with these clients.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • 3+ years total accounting experience
  • Previous experience within a New Zealand CA firm, operating at the Experienced Intermediate level or above
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great people skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Time management skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
