Facilities Coordinator

Our client is one of Wellington’s leading visitor attractions and a unique and exciting place to work. They are looking for a full time Projects and Facilities coordinator to work through until the end of June 2019  

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working closely with the General Manager Safety, Assets and Sustainability,  this role will be responsible for scoping out work, coordinating contractors, liaising with suppliers, tracking and progressing projects of work and supporting the team from an administration and coordination perspective. The team are friendly, informal and easy to get along with and really need someone that is going to roll their sleeves up and just get on with the job at hand.

 The ideal candidate will have;

  • A good level of computer literacy and be at least intermediatelevel with MS Suite
  • Facilities management experience
  • Managed numerous small projects of work.
  • Experience in coordinating work with contractors and suppliers
  • Practical experience in building and/or construction industry trades (nice to have)
  • Experience directing, coordinating and planning essential services such as power, water, waste management, security, cleaning, maintenance and  landscaping
  • Experience managing workplace health and safety practices and procedures

We are looking for a happy,  positive and outgoing person that can really hit the ground running.  Due to the nature of the client site the idea candidate must be happy to work in a fluid and dynamic environment. You must also be action orientated, intuitive and a proactive problem solver with great time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
