About the team You will be part of the group wide Business Development function across Australia and New Zealand, designed to optimise opportunities for Kennards Hire and make our customers job easy and creating raving fans, by providing them with the solutions they need, when and where they need them. We are looking for a sales savvy professional who is driven, self motivated and hungry for success. You will be solution focused and have a proven network within Building/Construction industry in Victoria. As the BDM, you will be based in the Support office located in Clayton and managing the Metro Melbourne area with occasional regional travel. About the Job The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new revenue opportunities and building relationships with existing and new accounts. You will be dealing directly with our customers and providing solutions to their equipment hire needs. Identify and win profitable revenue opportunities on Victorian Major Infrastructure Projects Implement objectives and strategies ensuring the development of relationships and growth in both sales and profit Develop formal pipeline through a territory/portfolio plan Effectively manage relationships and business objectives with key accounts through the development and implementation of strategic call planning Assist with the development monthly sales forecasts/pipelines Providing excellent customer service in all interactions, including instruction, advice and selling of equipment range over the phone and face-to-face About you.. You will be a highly motivated and target focused with the drive and passion to successfully identify, negotiate and win business opportunities. Specifically, you will have; A proven track record in building and retaining business within the building and construction industry in Victoria Strong understanding of business and marketing planning, financial acumen, strategic influencing, commercial negotiation and judgement High-level Presentation Skills - Quantitative and qualitative report writing, bid and presentation preparation, tender preparation Strong communication skills and an exceptional ability to build and retain relationships Applicants will have a drivers licence and full Australian work rights Simply hit the Apply Now button below and we look forward to talking with you!
