Our client is a New Zealand owned and operated specialist Managed Service  IT company, that provides business continuity services to many Auckland based businesses

They provide remote support, onsite support, workshop and server maintenance, so businesses can outsource the service and support of their entire IT network for complete peace of mind.

They are based in East Tamaki and have a supportive, friendly, down to earth company culture. The enable the ability to work partly from a home office to avoid Auckland traffic woes.

 On their behalf we are seeking a Level 3 – Field Based Support Technician to work with their clients on site. This is a highly varied role, across multiple technologies, with unlimited scope to advance your technical knowledge and your career.

The Role:

  • Provide onsite support to our customers across Auckland
  • Perform a wide variety of technical support across many technologies
  • Opportunities to install and configure Servers, Networking and other IT equipment
  • Act as the final level of escalation point for the Service Desk
  • Work with highly experienced Engineers and Technical Account Managers to maintain best practice environments
  • To continue to learn and upskill

Experience/ skills required

  • Ability/ experience in providing onsite support to a variety of businesses and end users
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of technical support across many technologies.
  • Combination of server, desktop and application support
  • Office 365 certification / experience
  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall.
  • An understanding of backup systems and software.
  • Good technical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a great phone manner.
  • Experience installing and configuring Servers, Networking and other IT equipment
  • Support of Terminal Services, and Citrix-based cloud infrastructure
  • An understanding of ITIL and customer service principles
  • Good time management
  • Full clean car license
  • Strong personal presentational and communication skills

 It would be great if you also had…. (but training will be provided)

  • Veeam or Shadowprotect certified
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer
  • Cisco Certified
  • Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems

And Really ,Really great if you had..…(but training will be provided if you don't)

  • WatchGuard Certified
  • Citrix Certified
  • Sharepoint Certified

Our client will reward well for the right candidate, offering between $80k - $100k ++ negotiable on experience and a company car.
