Based in Mairangi Bay, my client is a Fire and General specialist. They are a small, but effective firm, renowned for their client service and advice focus, with strong values and an enthusiastic team that supports a very successful and positive company morale.

On their behalf we are seeking the services of a suitably experienced DOMESTIC BROKER. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates that have a good understanding of the Domestic insurance market and its policies. 

You will be working your own Domestic client portfolio, so must be confident in resolving client queries on domestic insurance, specific account queries, cover queries and any policy amendments, new business and claims.  We are looking for someone who will proactively handle all aspects of the role ensuring the best possible client service.

Main responsibilities:

  • Resolve client queries on their domestic insurance
  • Investigate accounts to ascertain whether policy is right for the client
  • Processing and/or checking of existing client policy renewals and mid-term policy adjustments
  • Liaise with insurers on domestic insurance matters
  • Re-market domestic policies at renewal as required
  • Claims processing and liaison with clients and insurers
  • Identify and develop new business, quote and make recommendations
  • Build effective relationships with referral partners. Responding to referral business promptly

Skills required:

  • Personal lines insurance knowledge and experience
  •  We are open to eater an underwriting or Broking background
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Proactivity around achieving growth targets
  • Manage own workload and manage time effectively
  • Strong administration skills
  • High attention to detail 
  • Career minded. Wanting to learn and develop and grow professionally
