Job Description:

Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Management Certificate or proven track record of at least 8 years of Management Experience
  • Project Management Certificate or proven track record of at least 8 years of Interior Fit Out Experience
  • Facilities Management Certificate or proven track record of at least 8 years of Facilities Management Experience
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the Designs and Products used in New Zealand Buildings
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of how plans are processed and buildings inspected in NZ Buildings
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of NZ Building Code and Compliance
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the differences between the BWOF’s, Fire Evacs and Safety Audits
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of NZ Health & Safety legislation
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the financial processes involved in the Interior Fit Out industry
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of a excel spread sheet and scheduling programmes
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of contract administration techniques and practices
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of building materials, plant and commercial construction techniques.
  • An ability to understand structural and architectural drawings and building services documentation and a consequent ability to interpret the requirements and constraints resulting from these drawings and building services
Interpersonal Skills
 
  • An ability to relate credibly and comfortably with all levels of people involved in the project from site construction staff to clients and consultants.
  • Ability to understand a range of points of view on an issue and be able to address these in such a way as to achieve your desired outcome.
  • Strong questioning skills to enable issues to be worked through with clients, consultants and subcontractors to identify their core requirements.
  • Be able to mediate and resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • Be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, technical and financial information clearly.
  • Ability to understand people’s motivations and use this understanding to identify the best means of working with people to achieve the required results.
  • Ability to report accurately and concisely on all aspects of jobs under their control.
