Service Engineer - Cash Handling Machinery

  • Seeking a skilled tradesman (EST Quals) or Reg Electrician
  • Electro-mechanical experience needed (ATM's,  Note Counters, Large Appliances, Photocopiers exp)

My client is a very successful company that supplies a diverse range of Cash Handling and automation machinery, to all the industries of New Zealand that handle cash - banking and finance, large retail, vending, gaming etc. (ATM / TCR, cash counting, cash recycling, self-checkout machines etc). They are true leaders in their industry, with a market share of over 80%. They have been chosen as the number one supplier by their customers.

They provide their customers with a full national maintenance, commissioning, and service support and are currently enjoying a period of growth. They are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Service Technician to join their Auckland team.

This person will be responsible for servicing and installing machinery throughout an Auckland territory and will need to be available for occasional travel.

It is hard to find someone who has worked on "exactly" this range of equipment, so we would look at those coming from industries where you may have worked on possibly; ATM's, large appliances, photocopiers etc. You must have a good balance between your electrical, electronic and your mechanical skills.

The successful person will:

  • Upskill across all the company's products
  • Perform new equipment pre-install preparation
  • Perform remedial repair activities on customer sites
  • Perform preventative maintenance work
  • Perform installation/ commissioning work
  • Installation of approved software updates
  • Diagnostic and fault-finding work, both on phone & onsite 
  • Configure, maintain & troubleshoot interfaces between electromechanical devices
  • Demonstrate high level of client services at all times

 The successful candidate will:

  • Be a skilled tradesman (EST quals / or NZ Registered Electrician), with a mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience with large appliance electro-mechanical work
  • Have experience in working on networks and operating systems.
  • Have advanced fault finding, problem solving & diagnostic skills.
  • Strong time management & prioritising skills,
  • Excellent communication and ability to work within a team environment.
  • To provide the best possible service to ensure long term client relationships.

A package will be offered in the range of $65K - $75K depending on experience, including a company bonus (and a company vehicle).
