SERVICE MANAGER

My client are leaders in their industry and supply a diverse range of Cash Handling and Automation machinery, to all the industries of New Zealand that handle cash - banking and finance, large retail, vending, gaming etc. (ATM / TCR, cash counting, cash recycling, self-checkout machines etc).

They provide their customers with a full national maintenance, commissioning, and service support and are currently enjoying a period of growth, so are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Service Delivery Manager join their Penrose based team.                 

The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the NZ Field Service operation,  -  a team of 14 Service technicians, while also supporting Operations Management, Service Sales, Helpdesk and Service Support Teams.

This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring all SLA's are met in the most efficient way. 

About the Role:

  • Manage the team effectively, to ensure that they are working to their maximum efficiency
  • Ensure that any escalated issues are attended to
  • Spend time in the field with the Service Techs, to ensure desired behaviours and process and to support on more difficult calls,
  • Identify any gaps in training/knowledge with Service Technicians and organise requred training
  • Ensure Performance and Development reviews are undertaken
  • Manage parts inventory, ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained and records are accurate
  • Ensure customer agreed performance measures are met, ensuring SLA’s, such as response times, fix times, PM’s, minimising repeat calls, device availability are met
  • Prepare reporting for customers and for wider management
  • Involve yourself with day to day service calls when there is a potential SLA breach or breaches may be prevented with your attention
  • Involved in organisation of major installations
  • Provide phone support to customers as required

About you:

  • Strong leadership skills in a service delivery environment
  • Strong technical aptitude with in-depth experience resolving technical issues;
  • Prefer Industry experience - ATM / TCR, cash counting, cash recycling, self-checkout machines, or other large appliance / electro-mechanical work
  • Have advanced fault finding, problem solving skills.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability pull data and prepare reporting
  • Confident Microsoft Office experience, Particularly Excel
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong time management & prioritising skills, an all-round trouble shooter
  • A desire to provide the best possible service to ensure long term client relationships
  • Be a skilled tradesman (Obtained EST quals / or NZ Registered Electrician), with a mechanical aptitude. and ability to work within a team environment.
