Greenhill Lodge is located in Hawke’s Bay, on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Set on 73 acres of rural farmland, this luxury lodge is one of the most historic and authentic luxury lodges in New Zealand.

The lodge is located in the heart of the Hawkes Bays’ food and wine producing district and therefore able to select the finest of local produce to create memorable dining experiences for guests.

The food service focus centres on the guest’s experience and the lodge pride themselves in delivering seasonal, sustainable and innovative local cuisine with only the best of ingredients.

Guests will enjoy a 4 course Table d’hôte menu for dinner that changes daily, showcasing the finest market produce matched with local wines.

Breakfast features a market selection of local fresh produce with home-made preserves and cooked to order hot dishes.

The team at Greenhill Lodge are personable, genuine and interested in their guests and the lodge kitchen is a large part of the guest experience with guests often visiting to engage with the chef and to learn more about local produce and cuisine styles.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- Motivation and passion for food and
- An enduring focus on quality
- 6-8 years’ chef experience
- 3 - 4 years in a senior chef role
- An innovative approach to dish creation and
- The ability to create and maintain good
relationships with other team members
- Knowledge of a wide range of cuisines with
ability to create innovative menus
- Management of food and staff costs
- Knowledge of safe food handling regulations
and practices and management of food
control plan
- Maintain immaculate personal
presentation, as well as
a clean, safe, tidy and hygienic
work environment
