healthAlliance provides project and programme management services for ICT, Clinical Business Applications and Facility based projects. The projects delivery can be end to end (ICT projects) or based on Statement of Work engagements.
The primary function of the Programme Manager is to manage programmes to successful delivery by planning, monitoring, delegating and controlling all aspects of the projects and the motivation of all those involved to achieve the  project objectives within the expected performance targets for time, cost, quality, scope benefits and risks
Project visibility is an important aspect of project management and therefore all programme managers must ensure:
  • Projects align with National Health IT, Regional DHB or HA strategies
  • The healthAlliance project management tool ‘iLign’ and methodologies ‘PWOW’ are updated and maintained on a regular basis to ensure information currency in project and portfolio level reporting.
  • Comprehensive communication strategy is developed and a communication plan delivered for all projects
  • Project benefits are mapped to a benefit realisation plan and a business owner assigned
With this in mind, we currently have a vacancy for a Programme Manager to join our team in a permanent capacity. You will be working closely with the Portfolio Manager and will report directly to the Project Delivery Practice Manager.
To be successful in the role, it is essential that you have the following:
  • MSP certified
  • PMP/PRINCE2 certified
  • Agile Certified
  • Strong fundamentals and at least 10 years project management and implementation experience
  • Strong customer engagement and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead outcome at C suite stakeholders
  • ICT project experience managing Infrastructure projects, migrations, DC moves , network, storage, backup, core and platform services
  • Application based project experience managing rollouts, upgrades, application build projects
  • Ability to handle ambiguous situations
  • Reference able experience on  leading and managing governance scenarios
  • Ability to write quality business cases, SoWs and produce effective reporting
  • Understand AGILE concepts and ways of working
  • Be a team player and the ability to keep the project team motivated and outcome focussed
  • Strong focus on attention to detail
  • Good financial acumen, ability to forecasts spends and cash flows
