Our client is looking for a dynamic and sales-enthusiastic Business Development Manager. This will be a work from home role looking after the client's sales in Ruakaka and Tauranga.

Role description:

In this role you will set, manage and drive improvement of our client's Key Performance Indicator’s. The role will focus on growing the customer base to increase work volumes and achieve a desired income and profit target. At first instance you will be working for the workshop (Area 01), then the project division and then assist the Customer Relationship Manager in all other sales and marketing activities. All while enhancing the overall profitability of the client. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all financial activities are carried out accurately and profitably
  • Comply and adhere to the company’s quality and safety management systems
  • Ensure prompt and professional response to all customer enquiries/feedback
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and assistance to all company personnel
  • Provide regular customer reports to the Customer Relationship Manager
  • Ensure customer records, documentation and databases are up to date

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

  • History of proven sales records with solid knowledge of sales techniques
  • An engineering trade background (could previously have been a tradesmen)
  • Excellent communicator who can establish rapport with potential customers
  • Good computer skills (can competently use Word and Excel)
  • Quoting and tendering experience plus knowledge of engineering practices preferred. Preferably with local, Auckland and regional contacts.
