Counties Manukau Health is increasing its digital footprint and is poised to raise its analytical arm.
 
We are looking for an analyst who can develop and challenge to optimise and leverage off our increasingly complex data environment. This position is fixed term position for 2 years, full time hours, Monday to Friday.
 
This is an opportunity to be part of journey of transforming data into meaningful insights and providing value back to the organisation. Working closely with the health intelligence team, clinicians and managers to design powerful visualisations. Ensuring we have a compelling and robust evidence to inform key operational and strategic policy decisions. This role will help to build the underlying framework to support robust statistical reporting, modelling and data analysis.
 
You will have a strong affinity for visualising complex data, and thrive in a deadline-orientated environment. A confident communicator, you will work hard to provide excellent service, while ensuring the advice and initiatives implemented make business sense and fit the needs of the organisation.
 
You will show initiative, providing advice and solutions that make a tangible difference to our organisation. Assist in developing clear strategies and road-maps to guide our organisation on their data to information journey
The ideal candidate will have an in depth of understanding of the health sector, data, Information Management and Analytics. Hold a tertiary qualification in either Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, statistics or equivalent and be proactive, goal orientated with strong attention to detail.
 
Have 3-5 years of experience in the following competencies;
  • Linking and translating business requirements into Analytics solutions.
  • Providing strategic advice to organisations to help maximise the value from their data and information
  • Strong technical skills in either R, Python, SQL, SAS
