Job Description:

Bikanervala is an Indian 100% vegetarian Indian Street Food Restaurant in Christchurch specialising in Indian cuisines from the North, South, East and West of India along with vegan and gluten-free options on the menu.
We are looking for a Sous Chef - Indian Sweet Maker (Halwai) to head the Indian Sweets making division at the branch in Christchurch.
  • Ensure the production of Indian Sweets with good consistency, quality, and culinary standards.
  • Manage the kitchen and maintain safety and food hygiene regulations. 
  • Manage day to day operations of the kitchen including planning the production for the week and Indian festival months
  • Ensure food is prepared in accordance with the Bikanervala quality and taste.
The applicant will require strong evidence of experience in a similar environment.
