About the role
 
We are a leading aluminum joinery provider based in Auckland. Now we are in need for 5 welders with high skills and experience to join our growing team.
To be successfully selected, you will need:
﹡At least 3 years relevant welding work experience,
﹡Being able to read and interpret drawings,
﹡Eyes for details and hard-working attitude,
﹡Being physically fit,
﹡A police clearance certificate will be required for the successful candidate.
Your duties may include:
﹡Determining welding position and type of aluminium/metal to be fused,
﹡Selecting and setting up welding equipment,
﹡Cur, bend and fit metal/aluminium parts,
﹡Joining metal/aluminium sections using various welding techniques,
﹡Using electric currents to create heat and bond metals/aluminium,
﹡Using heat from and electric arc to cut and trim metal/aluminium objects,
﹡Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials,
﹡Using molten metal to join two pieces of parts,
﹡Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision,
﹡Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
