Job Description:

The LAB Victoria is seeking a qualified, experienced, reliable, dedicated and experienced Sous Chef for our cafe.
Your roles includes;
1. ability to produce high quality, healthy and up to trend cabinet food.
2. lead the kitchen when the owner/ head chef is away.
3. competent and ability to work independantly as required.
4. ability to plan and develop menu with owner/head chef. 
5. comply with food hygiene control and H&S regulation.
6. manage stock ordering and inventory control
7. maintain a professional and positive approach with customer and team members.
8. Train and develop junior chef/ kitchen hand.


Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be someone who is
1. trained and Qualified with minimum Level 4 in Hospitality/ Cookery
2. has good knowledge of gluten free and vegan option.
3. has at least 2 or more years of experiences woring in a busy commercial kitchen.
4. has a good understanding of Food Hygiene and H&S in kitchen.
5. ability to multi-task and flexible to work where help is needed.
6. ability to take instruction from owner
7. attention to detail when completing task.
8. ability to work well and connect with other within a team staff environment.
