Job Description:

Treasure Kitchen is currently looking for a Kitchen Hand to join the team!

Duties and Responsibilities for a Kitchen Hand include:

Cleaning
  • Wash and clean utensils and dishes, return to the kitchen and make sure they are stored appropriately.
  • Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
  • Clean up spillages when they occur.
  • Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling, empty and clean all trash receptacles.
  • Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately.
  • Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen.
Food Preparation
  • Handle, sort, store and distribute food items.
  • Wash, peel, chop, cut and assist the Head Chef in the kitchen for preparation and cooking of food, as required.
  • Follow direction toward portion control, sorting, storing and distributing food items.
General
  • Maintain a positive and motivated work ethic in the kitchen at all times.
  • Follow instructions from the Chef and/or nominee.
  • Other duties that the employer may reasonably require.
