Job Description:

Our client who is an industry leader in the design and installation of healthy building product solutions is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team. The successful applicant will be responsible for growing and developing new business by promoting product solutions to architects and building companies.
You would be reporting directly to the National Sales Manager and assist management in evaluating new innovative product solutions to grow this business segment.
  • Provide technical expertise in the healthy building products
  • Build on your existing network and build sustainable business relationships
  • Create opportunities to develop new business and customers
  • Maintain a consistent call cycle across architects and building companies
  • Be proactive and follow up on all leads
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager and General Manager to develop sales targets and plans
  • Accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasting
  • Maintain an awareness of market trends and innovations
  • Focus on Healthy and Safety reduction
Skills Required:
  • You need to have at least 5 years of Business Development in a Technical Sales Background (HVAC would be preferred)
  • At least 2 years relevant NZ work experience
  • Experience calling on Building/Construction and Architects
  • Engineering qualification or background preferred but not essential
  • Proven success in securing RFP in the private and government channels
  • Commitment to a high standard of integrity and ethics
  • Must be an active listener
  • You need to have strong hunting skills not just wanting to farm
