Field Application Engineer (Sydney & Melbourne)

Our customer is a leading Asia-Pacific B2B provider of quality electronic components, engineering design services and supply chain management. 

There's an ongoing demand for growth specifically in Australia and NZ, hence we are looking to hire a number of different positions, including 2x 'Field Application Engineer' for Sydney and Melbourne to support our ever growing customer database.

Overall duties for the FAE position include:

• Collaborate with Field and factory resources to develop technical proposals for customers, including project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers.
• Provide deep technical support to customers in the selection and use of different electronic components.
• Provide technical support to customer's concerns during their R&D cycles till completion.
• Advise customer on the optimum use of tools and devices.
• Conduct technical seminars and hardware demos.
• Help to develop and convert business opportunities in NZ and AU.

Ideal attributes to be succesul in this role:

• Degree in electronics or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years ideally with a semiconductor distributor or manufacturer environment or
• Working experience in a R&D environment with strong knowledge in hardware, analog and/or power applications.
• Ideally to have RF & Microwave experience.
• at least familiar with hardware experience in PCB design, schematic capture and test/debugging/troubleshooting.
• Software experience in C/C++, Linux, Windows, RTOS or others.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The experience range for this position could vary between a recently graduated with a couple of years of experience to someone with several years of experience. We want to see what you could bring to the table - and the salary would change accordingly.
