What we do

We are a local large construction company based in Auckland. We are now hiring carpenters for our large-scale projects, and you will be working at different construction sites in Auckland.

Key Responsibilities include:   

• Be able to understand drawings and blueprint to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures
• Be able to select timbers and materials, and prepare layouts
• Be able to cut materials into the required shape
• Be able to erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify trueness of structures
• Be able to nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
• Be able to clean equipment and work areas
• Report health and safety-related problems/failures
• Any other reasonable tasks required by the leader.  

Requirements for the applicants:

• Relevant qualification, or at least three years of relevant experience (experience must be proven)
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Solid knowledge of timbers and other materials
• Solid knowledge of construction carpentry techniques
• Solid knowledge of selecting and using appropriate hand and power tools
• Contribute towards the smooth running of the team
• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, timekeeping, and flexibility
• Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
