We are looking for a passionate person who understands what it takes to create an experience for our guests.  At Distinction Whangarei Hotel, we pride ourselves of delivering the best service to everyone who walks through our doors - with a smile and genuine desire to impress.

As a receptionist, you will be required to assist in guest arrivals and departures, general enquiries, reservations, cashiering as a start.  But as with all exceptional hoteliers - the tasks can vary day-to-day and guest-to-guest. This is a role providing 32-38 hours per week.


Job requirements

Job requirements Experience with high-end customer service, preferably in a 4-star plus level of hotel service. Cash handling experience (additional knowledge of hotel PMS systems a real advantage). A team player that thrives off the success of the team as a whole but also takes ownership of requests. Outgoing and professional personality. A willingness to learn, grow and contribute to a dynamic and diverse team. Exceptional and professional written and verbal English communication skills, additional languages are always a welcome bonus. Experience in hotel Reservations or Accounts Receivable would be an advantage. Ability to work shifts, and across weekends and public holidays as is industry standard. Opportunity to work in F&B outlets also available.
