Class 5 Truck and Trailer Driver

Easy Earthmovers is a growing earthmoving company servicing the wider Auckland Region. We are on the hunt for a Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. We have a new team and as part of our growth we are looking for someone to take on this vital role. This person will be favoured with further upgrades and will be rewarded for additional tasks.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities

• Drive and operate trucks ranging from Class 4 and 5
• Follow instructions and routes including requirements of dedicated disposal yards
• Pre-inspect truck and notify manager of any concerns
• Pick up and drop off materials, verify classification of loads and maintain awareness of weight
• Basic maintenance and cleanliness of trucks on a weekly basis
• Complete and verify paperwork to be included in your timesheets
• Training other recruits when needed

Skills and Attributes

• Class 5 license is a must
• Experience in driving heavy trucks
• Experience in tipping truck and trailer e.g. jack-knifing
• Great work ethic and positive can-do attitude
• Good mechanical understanding of trucks and maintenance
• Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety
• Physically fit and healthy
• Demonstrated ability, willingness, and commitment to upskill
• Ability to operate machinery will be a massive bonus
