We are looking for a Project Scheduler for one of our clients in Auckland, New Zealand.

Job Description:

The Master Scheduler we are looking for ideally 5 years or more of scheduling large software development programs and ideally has experience with Telecommunications Programs.

They need to be able to build and maintain a detailed Project Schedule initially using Microsoft Project. They need to:-

• Build a fully linked schedule for the Program of works, with critical path, milestones & dependencies clearly identified. This will be done in conjunction with the Work Package Leads and Technology Delivery Partners.
• Structure the WBS such that various levels of ‘roll-up’ are possible, providing either detailed views of Progress Versus plan or rolled-up views of Progress versus plan consistent with the various working groups/governance groups who are reviewing the timeline at the time
• Also, ensure that the detailed schedule can be rolled up to a Plan On A Page view (also with progress versus plan & key milestones for executive Management and as a primary communications tool for the Program
• Import and Extract data to and from Jira and confluence – ie each time there are Jira or confluence Updates pertaining to key milestones or deliverables, be able to import the updates into MSP and vice versa to understand the impact on Critical Path

• Ensure that the Integrated plan is resource-leveled and has a critical path & float (ie fully linked schedule)
• Once finalized, ensure that the plan is baselined and then regularly report on progress versus plan and highlight deviation from plan ASAP around Critical Path or streams approaching Critical Path.
• Be able to advise the Program Team on options to get back on track (from a timeline perspective) when slippage occurs.
• Weekly reviews with each Stream / Hub lead to go through their part of the schedule
• Use Project Online to provide advice on Resource utilization
• Use Project Online to manage Issues & Risks
• Assist in Building / Refining Executive (Power BI) Reporting dashboards
