Hotel Receptionist

Job description

An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges is essential. The role consists of working on the front desk, interacting with guests and meeting their needs to a 5 star level. This is a job share role so good communication and teamwork is required

Take phone and email bookings for the hotel, taking deposits and completing reservations from beginning to end.

Welcoming guests from all over the world to our beautiful town. 

Checking in and checking out guests to a very high standard.

 Helping handle the organisation of functions and events within the hotel, onsite bar, restaurant and function facilities. 

Responsible for daily banking and balancing spreadsheets

Enjoys working with a diverse and interesting team 


Job requirements

At least one year of experience front office within a hotel is preferred Previous use of Clarity hotel system preferred but not essential.  Basic functions in Excel, Word and emailing required.  Strong attention to detail  An understanding of banking procedures Must be flexible with hours and rostering. Weekends tend to be busier than weekdays.
