We are searching for 1-2 Panel Beaters to work in Queenstown Region and to fill our permanent full-time positions (guaranteed minimum 40 hours/per week to maximum 60 hours/per week, roasters between Monday to Sunday).

Job duties for Panel Beater:

• Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames of a motor vehicle to establish the extent of repairs, restoration, estimate time and cost for the repair
• Disassembling damaged vehicle parts, panels and accessories
• Restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, repairing scratches, and spray painting panels
• Replacing any parts that cannot be repaired
• Welding new or repaired panels into place
• Straightening and aligning car frames and unibodies using mechanical equipment
• Stripping and refitting trim and panel interior
• Repairing depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surface
• Performing final finishing and polishing by using finishing equipment in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork
• Keeping records of all work carried out.
• Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards

To be successful you will need to:

• Have at least one year’s relevant experience, or
• Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
• Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
• have "can-do" attitude
