About this opportunity
Our dedicated Kitchen team at our Longford Park Village in Takanini are looking for reliable Kitchen Hands to join them in delivering excellent service and high-quality food to our residents. On offer is a full-time permanent role in a large well-run kitchen where you will have the opportunity to work a variety of shifts and duties to build your kitchen skills. There will likely be opportunities to join the team permanently as we continue to grow! Some of the great things you will be doing:
Working alongside an amazing team under the direction of our Head Chef who will provide training and mentorship
Food preparation and meal deliveries
Interaction with residents and other staff outside the kitchen
General Kitchen cleaning
Skills & experience required for this Kitchen Hand opportunity
You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents therefore you will have empathy for the older person. Also, excellent ability to communicate in a clear, considerate manner will strengthen your application. Other things that will support your application include:
Excellent food hygiene skills
Commercial kitchen experience is desirable
Exceptional customer service skills
A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate will be advantageous
