Service Advisor/ Manager

As Service Advisor/ Manager, you are responsible for the dealership’s customer care and service program. You are ultimately accountable for the quality, capability, training, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction of the service team in your dealership. 

You will have effective time management, computer skills and a sound knowledge of auto mechanics with the ability to work with both the public and shop technicians in a professional manner and a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the service department including management and development of team members.
  • Finalise the invoice completion of required work
  • Inform customers of the progress on their vehicle
  • Portray a positive first impression 
  • Book/check vehicles in for the work to be carried out
  • Managing and achieving departmental budgets KPI’s and Key Area Targets set by Toyota New Zealand and the management team.
  • Oversee and manage team member’s tasks, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Developing and maintaining service processes so that they are simple and effective.
  • Rolling out customer care programme in the dealership – promoting high level of customer satisfaction with service.
  • Utilise strong supervisory skills to effectively manage the Service Department workshop and support the Service Foreman.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  

Special Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently in a busy service centre
  • Well-presented and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to customer service
  • Clean and current full NZ drivers’ licence
  • Ability to work 6 days a week, and work outside normal business hours 
  • Able to communicate thoughts, ideas, and information in a logical, organised and persuasive manner
  • Competent computer skills including a medium to high level of Microsoft Office skills
