Do you get excited about building infrastructure to serve our communities? A new position has been created within our Electricity team to support New Zealand’s emission reduction plans through delivering electrification projects and ensure we are prepared for the future. As a new role, there will be opportunities to lead and influence the way we successfully delivery projects with key focus on our people & culture, our customers and project delivery excellence.

Ko tā mātou mahi - About the role

This role leads large regionally based teams across Powerco’s footprint that focusses on the delivery of our routine projects efficiently, to achieve high quality deliverables for our customers.  Routine doesn’t mean every project is the same, rather the volume of work is large and processes are standardised.

This role is ideal for a leader with a passion for people, as you will be working with a skilled and dedicated team of project professionals. You may have a background in either project management or infrastructure delivery experience behind you and will be confident in communicating and contributing a positive difference at a senior level. The role is highly collaborative, influencing and impacting stakeholders and communities so you will bring exceptional relationship skills; a quality and continuous improvement lens as well as a drive for successful delivery. As a leader you understand that innovating, learning and improving will ensure we are future focussed.

Skills & Experience which will ensure success

• Leadership experience leading teams of professionals with a commitment to their individual development, capability and growth
• A successful track record in delivering results and executing business plans, with solid financial and commercial experience
• Extensive project skills in management, governance, tracking and reporting
• An analytical and innovative approach to solutions and decision making
• Electrical industry experience (ideal but not a must)
