We are on the hunt for a qualified Cable Jointer. Are you looking for a varied, exciting and fun role? Delta is looking for a dynamic person that can work with our variety of clients in the Electricity Distribution and Hydro Generation sectors.

You will be a self-starter that can work within a small team and is willing to trouble shoot and come up with the solutions to keep our client's system up and running. This requires a range of tasks from new installs, maintenance and retrofitting of HV electronics and equipment.

You will have previous experience in the high voltage electricity industry and have EWRB registration.

Responsibilities in the role:

  • Jointing and termination of underground HV/LV power cables, including OH terminations
  • Adhere to Company Systems and Health, Safety and Environment procedures as well as statutory requirements
  • Emergency response on customer distribution and sub-transmission cable assets.

About you:

  • You will have knowledge of and experience in HV and LV jointing and terminating cables
  • Previous appropriate industry experience
  • A good work history that demonstrates a safe work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A positive approach to personal development.
  • You will also be registered or be working towards registering with the Electrical Workers Registration Board as a Cable Jointer.
